Georges Deschamps

Georges Deschamps is the great-grandfather of Guillaume Vrignaud, of Domaine Vrignaud. The family began planting in the 1er Cru Fourchaume appellation, in the Côte de Fontenay climat, in 1955, and planted the rest of their vines around Fontenay near Chablis in 1975.

A quality-conscious family with an absolute belief in the importance of work in the vines, they pursued organic certification with Ecocert from 2009. For Guillaume, organic farming is a way of thinking — a way of revealing the terroir.
