Founded in 1811 by Jean-Baptiste Ackerman, Maison Ackerman is the oldest sparkling wine house in the Loire Valley and one of the region's defining producers of traditional method wines. Based in Saumur, the house helped establish the reputation of Loire sparkling wine through over two centuries of craftsmanship.

Drawing on the region's cool climate and the limestone cellars beneath Saumur, Ackerman produces elegant Crémant de Loire from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and other traditional Loire varieties, with extended lees ageing delivering finesse, freshness and complexity.

Alongside its sparkling wines, Maison Ackerman also produces a selection of classic Loire still wines that express the freshness, purity and approachable character for which the valley is renowned.
