Georges Deschamps
Georges Deschamps is the great-grandfather of Guillaume Vrignaud, of Domaine Vrignaud. The family began planting in the 1er Cru Fourchaume climate Côte de Fontenay in 1955, and the rest of their vines around Fontenay near Chablis in 1975. A quality-conscious family with an absolute belief in the importance of work in the vines and respect for nature, they began organic certification with Ecocert in 2009 — for Guillaume, organic farming is a way of thinking, a way of revealing the terroir.
